This collective repository of family data, as presented, is by no means complete and most certainly contains errors. We have done our best to ensure the all of the information is accurate, to the best of our knowledge, and is supported by some type of documentation or source. However, at times, assumptions have been made. We say this not to discredit our research, but to acknowledge that at times, people aren't always truthful with what gets put on paper. Even 'official' documentation gets mistranslated or entered into a computer incorrectly. If you find information to which you believe to be incorrect, We apologize in advance. In return, We ask that you utilize the various links on this site to contact us and offer your corrections.
A primary advantage of this website is that this family tree is a collaborative effort. The best way for this tree to grow is through the efforts of the various genealogists that have put in countless hours researching their own ancestry. our goal is to bring all of those genealogists together into this central location to share their research with their peers.

These are some of the services we offer record custodians:
Obtaining a preservation quality image is often the most costly and time-consuming step for records custodians. Microfilm has been the standard, but digital is emerging. Whether you opt to do it yourself or use one of our worldwide camera teams, we can help.
Once an image is digitized, key data needs to be transcribed in order to produce a searchable index that patrons around the world can access. Our online indexing application harnesses volunteers from around the world to quickly and accurately create indexes.
For those records custodians who already have a substantial collection of microfilm, we can help digitize those images and even provide digital image storage.
Whether your goal is to make your records freely available to the public or to help supplement your budget needs, we can help you get your records online. To minimize your costs and increase access for your users, we can host your indexes and records on nigeriafamilyrecord.com, or we can provide tools and expertise that enable you to create your own hosted access.
